Ah 66... The one year you could get the L69 (har har 69) 3 two barrel V8. Suck it Pontiac.

I agree 66 was probably the best year for all GM A body's. The Chevelle, GTO, 442, skylark looked fantastic

I really want a 4-speed Cutlass. A guy on classicoldsmobile.com got a bargain on a '72 V-Code Supreme with the original 455/4-speed. So jelly.

Actually, I HATE the 66/67 Chevy and Pontiac A-Bodies. They are just a vast expanse of straight metal. Too plain for my tastes. I don't mind the 66/67 Buick and Oldsmobile, but I still prefer every other year of the 64-72 era over the 66/67.

Mmm. I wonder why they never offered the SX in manual, or at all in 72.

The U-code supremes came with the 455. I don't remember the code for the SX. V-codes came with a 455 and 4 speed regardless of whether it was an SX or not. Since the SX was discontinued in 71 and was pretty rare to begin with, I cannot imagine how rare a 72 v-code is.
Very Jelly. Much Sleeper. So Rare. Wow

I'm not a huge GTO fan but I liked 66 because its the last year of tri power, I've always had a soft spot for 66 chevelles my parents had a 66 convertible when I was little and just loved the interior in it. I really like 64-67 chevelles and the 70-72. Can't stand 68-69s
